'Let's Play Rounders!' aims to help introduce new players and provide info for the sport of Rounders, including a short history of the game, how the game is played, the rules aswell as providing links to other rounders resources...

Many people will have played and enjoyed rounders in school, but then not discovered the many leagues and different people who enjoy the game worldwide. In fact the popular game of baseball can trace it's roots back to the ancient English sport of rounders (which is mentioned in literature from the mid 18th century but was a popular game as far back as the 16th century: see history section for more).

The game is today is still a favourite among families and holidaymakers due to the ability for mixed teams, ages and abilities to all play in the same team, but it is just as much fun when played competitively in one of the many leagues across the country and world. A good place to find out about rounders in your area is to check the National Rounders Association website whose link can be found on our links page.
